Let the story begin

Some of you have asked if we can write this blog and tell our news also in English, because you don't understand Finnish and for some reason don't want to learn it either :) So we want to say yes to this challenge.

When I was in high school my English teacher had a talent to make me think that if you can't spell perfect don't speak at all! But luckily this ungodly mindset was broken when I was studying social work in Polytechnic. At that time my English teacher was Canadian and he said that the reason for learning other languages is that you can communicate! Wow!! What a revelation :D So it's not the goal that you have to speak perfectly but that you can understand others and they can understand you. Actually communication is a big challenge for those who speak the same language as well!! If you have not noticed that yet wait until you are married and you will understand what I 'm saying ;)

The reason for learning other languages is that you can communicate, not that you speak it perfectly!”

But now for the news! We came to Redding because of this amazing school, Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry. It has been even better than we expected!! Before coming here there has been many things happening in our lives. Last couple of years have been quite difficult for us. After we left children and youth work at the church we started again to search for our place and callings in this world. We went to Lapland with our amazing friends to just rest and find a new passion for the Lord. It was a surprise for us that the kind of burn out we experienced doing church work was deeper than we were thinking. God started to restore our relationship with Him and remind us to live our lives and dreams, not just doing responsibilities! But hard part in this is when you don't even know what are your dreams :) No one ever asked ;) Yeah.

God started to remind us to live our lives and dreams not just doing responsibilities!”

We were in Lapland for three months and then the Lord sent us back to Helsinki. Serving at the church didn't feel right for us anymore but either it didn't feel okay to say yes for the new responsibilities. The only way was to wait upon the Lord and pray that He will lead us. Long story short it ended up that Jukkis got in to University to study to be a teacher and was happy until the school started. The whole first year he was feeling that this is not his calling. The more he prayed about it and was willing to die to his feelings the more he started to feel uncomfortable to stay there. Then came the spring 2013. We were waiting for our first baby to be born and Jukkis saw a dream that we almost miss a bus. We started to pray that we don't want to miss any buses. At that time there was an awakening in South Africa and we started to watch those meetings through internet. We felt that it's our time to get filled again and we decided to give these meetings the first place. Silja had already started her maternity leave so it was easy for her to do that. Jukkis still did his school studies but left his hobbies and works for a break. God showed us things in our hearts that were not right and wanted us to deal with. After we dealt with them, the way to Bethel started to open. A burning started to awaken in our hearts that there is still more for us!

"A burning started to awaken in our hearts that there is still more for us!"

But that's some history. Now we are here in Redding, California and living our dreams to come true! <3 God is faithful! And this blog is all about that. Live your supernatural ordinary everyday life under open heaven, relationship with the Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit. Come and join us for this adventure!
